If it's truly an emergency or needed that badly, perhaps a phone call would be more appropriate.Amandahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09902380558583190500noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-857343260347199013.post-58785165388085783682014-07-28T23:58:05.997-05:002014-07-28T23:58:05.997-05:00I am not a millennial, I am a generation Xer. I have attempted to use blogs, discussion boards, and being very interactive via the use of technology but the students are very reluctant to interact in the course this way. What I have found is that millennial students want to be "spoon fed" information to simply pass test or quizzes without really truly understanding concepts. My major attempt was to use technology to teach team building and collaboration skills which are vital to working in the health care industry. Our general education department doesn't offer students courses on how to be a student or even how to use technology in their classes or academia. How were you able to do this?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-857343260347199013.post-13139993535459563722014-04-24T02:08:26.517-05:002014-04-24T02:08:26.517-05:00I'd love to see campus gardens.... the Tarleto...I'd love to see campus gardens.... the Tarleton Southwest campus is just surrounded by concrete and more concrete. I took a summer class at the new TCC Riverfront campus in downtown Fort Worth, absolutely beautiful location. As you walk through the ground floor area, there's a panoramic window of the grounds, where several above ground garden beds are visible. I have no idea what they do with the vegetables that are grown, but making these available for students is a great idea. I also love the idea of a food pantry for students. muskratbytehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04408117945590904056noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-857343260347199013.post-84768324395360588592014-04-17T07:14:07.712-05:002014-04-17T07:14:07.712-05:00ThanksThanksAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08613234610092256494noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-857343260347199013.post-62519551923701848372014-03-30T18:35:22.538-05:002014-03-30T18:35:22.538-05:00This is a need, right before our eyes. I definitely understand why the rest of that list would be up there. Touch computing is really intuitive after a short learning curve, and TV Everywhere is one of the most convenient technologies to come along in as long as I can remember. I got mine set up through my service provider, and employer, DISH, and not only was it a breeze to set up but there aren’t any extra monthly fees for having the extra convenience/service. I love being able to watch MY TV on my iPad wherever I go, and it’s not just a limited selection either. I get both all my live channels and anything I have on my DVR. I was even able to watch my programming last time I flew since many of the airlines provide in-flight WiFi now!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-857343260347199013.post-85015865597840077392012-01-03T13:00:17.579-06:002012-01-03T13:00:17.579-06:00Thanks so much!

I am a 50-year-old female who teaches theatre at university and if I wore anything other than jeans and a casual top, I would be laughed out of class by the students. I must also have mobility in my clothing because I do the warm ups with acting students (jumping jacks, stretching, partner activities, etc.). I have tenure, but even before that I wore comfortable clothing I could move in and it was never an issue with the administration. Perhaps my position is unique, but one of my students once remarked that I "don't dress like the other women professors on campus" and that she appreciated that.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-857343260347199013.post-7855399037088976802011-12-05T18:24:04.034-06:002011-12-05T18:24:04.034-06:00Those articles are here:
