Google+ Emphasis Week - Google Hangouts...in a few weeks...

In a few weeks, I will focus on Google Hangouts! I have been using Google Hangouts while teaching my online classes this semester and conducting meetings. This online software has been especially helpful when meeting with people on campus or at other locations. In fact, we have used Google Hangouts for our Texas Social Media Research Institute workshops all semester (for people who are not on our campus).

I cannot wait to use Google Hangouts my future classes!

Here's how I use social networking in higher education...

I am friends with my students on Google Plus, but I have made a conscious effort not to become friends with my current students on Facebook. I do not use Google+ for assignments, but I do use Twitter for extra credit assignments.
