This is another one of the Brita Filter for Good projects. This one is slightly different, because this submission came from a student who proposed a course focused on Environmental Sustainability and Journalism at the University of California - Berkley focused on sustainability.
Wonderful project!

Here's another winner from Brita's "Filter for Good Campaign". This idea was slightly different than the GWU filtration project. Davidson College has a sustainability project that focuses on the energy produced when students work out at a campus gym. Generally, this energy is not utilized, but Davidson College found an innovative way to use the energy generation through elliptical machines.
Very neat! Working out for sustainability!

A few years ago, Brita (one of my favorite companies) awarded a grant to George Washington University for one of their residence halls. Through this grant, GWU provided water bottles and water pitchers (with filters) to each student living in one particular residence halls. Through this program, it seems that the students built their community through common experiences with the filtration project.
What a neat idea!
Sincerely,
